What is real? What is not?  Who is alive? Who is dead?  What do we mean to each other and how can the smallest of our actions change another person's life?

In the twilight of memory, we shall meet once more, we shall speak again together and you shall sing a deeper song.

In Stridberg's modernist classic, the past intrudes upon the present and the future is shaped by spectres.

Memories mist at their edges, history haunts reality. The debts of the past must be paid and it's ghosts laid to the rest.

Running time will be around 90 minutes with no interval

The Rose is an indoor archaeological site, it is advisable to dress with an extra layer as there is no heating. There are also no toilets so please use Shakespeare’s Globe just a few hundred metres away.
