SAINT JOAN by Bernard Shaw
After a successful and nominated run of Shakespeare’s Henry VI part I in May 2011 at The Rose, Bankside, Joan’s story rises from the ashes once more in Bernard Shaw’s ‘Saint Joan’.
“You forget that Shakespeare is still held responsible for the first part of ‘Henry VI’, with its infamous libel on Joan. She would have risen from the Seine and punched my head if I had penned her name in Stratford.”
- Bernard Shaw
