New patron for The Rose

2nd August 2006

The Rose Theatre Trust is delighted to announce that the new Artistic Director of Shakespeare's Globe, Dominic Dromgoole, has agreed to become a Patron of the Rose. The Rose now has six Patrons including Dame Judi Dench, James Fox, Sir Peter Hall, Janet Suzman and Susannah York. More info

A Blue Plaque For The Rose

2nd June 2006

The Rose was awarded a coveted blue plaque by the Borough of Southwark in the autumn of last year. On 12th January 2006 Sir Ian McKellen unveiled the plaque and for the first time in a decade or more the site of the Rose could easily be identified and visitors no longer had a search to find it.
