Planet Theatre Productions Present...

The Spanish Tragedy

by Thomas Kyd

Tuesday 7th - Sunday 26th September

Thomas Kyd's bloody drama received its first performance at the Rose Theatre in or around 1587, and there is some reason to think that Shakespeare himself might have been in the cast. This new streamlined production presents the main story, with a magnetic performance by Hayward Morse as HIERONIMO, the Marshall who assumes madness to take revenge on the murderers of his only son, a ruse which leaves the stage littered with bodies by the end.

Bookings
Performances start at 7:30pm (Sunday 12th and 26th at 3:00pm, Sunday 19th at 7:30pm)
Tickets £12.00 / £10.00 concessions

The Rose Theatre Presents

The Tempest

by William Shakespeare, Directed by David Pearce

Tuesday 5th to Saturday 30th October (no Monday performances)

The Rose Theatre is proud to present Shakespeare's last solo play, regarded by many as his great masterpiece. It is a profound lyrical romance, touching on morality and the supernatural with a unique atmosphere of simultaneous space, freedom and claustrophobia. We think the Rose is a fabulous space in which to convey all these elements!

Bookings
Performances start at 7:30pm (Sundays at 3:00pm)
Tickets £10.00 / £80.00 concessions
